What is this project about and why is it important?

This project is supported by the Canadian Dementia Learning and Resource Network at the Schlegel-UW Research Institute for Aging (RIA) and funded by the Public Health Agency of Canada under the Dementia Community Investment (DCI). These funded projects are actively developing and testing tools, resources, and approaches to promote the well-being of persons living with dementia and care partners.

Dementia Dialogue produces and co-produces podcast episodes featuring the voices of people living with dementia, care partners, advocates, and care providers, as well as communities seeking to better include people with dementia.

The podcast seeks to reach people with lived experience so that they will be affirmed, strengthened and gain insight into their own experience. Further, people who support people living with dementia can benefit by deepening their understanding of dementia, as well as the broader community so that they too will have a more informed understanding of the dementia experience.

Who is this project for?

The intended audience for this project is people with lived experience of dementia, including people living with dementia, care partners, advocates, care providers, as well as the broader community, to promote awareness and understanding of the dementia experience.
