The New Brunswick Dementia Friendly Initiative project, led by the Collaborative for Healthy Aging and Care, has created this guide to help communities explore some ways they can lead dementia-friendly approaches. The first section examines how communities can build on existing age-friendly frameworks to reflect the needs and experiences of people living with dementia and those that support them. The second section explores how local governments can initiate change in the community, and shares practical examples of activities that can be introduced to help make communities more inclusive.
