Webinar: The role of research in supporting culturally safe Indigenous-specific dementia care needs and resources
March 14, 2023 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
The development of culturally appropriate health promotion materials and practice tools requires grounding in Indigenous knowledge of illnesses and community-based models of care.
In this webinar, you will hear from two leaders in this space – Indigenous Cognition & Aging Awareness Research Exchange (I-CAARE) and the Native Women’s Association of Canada (NWAC). The Native Women’s Association of Canada will share about the upcoming launch of their Circle of Care Toolkit, designed to support and empower care partners by providing them with valuable resources, tools, and information to prioritize their own well-being while caring for a person living with dementia.
This webinar is hosted by the Canadian Dementia Learning and Resource Network (CDLRN) and will feature simultaneous interpretation into French.
